Ark survival evolved dinosaurs3/14/2024 ![]() ![]() raise it by itself, well away from all other dinos and it must be the only dino able to feed from it's trough. Build your base huge and lag the server.ĭon't log off until ALL are grown and their food consumption needs slow down. Never have too many babies close enough to even form a line for a trough. If you are raising babies, never have any other dinos nearby, they may end up in line ahead of your baby - your baby starves while waiting when you log in. It will stay waiting in line - and starve with other food nearby. Doesn't matter if the dino is third or fourth in line on one trough, it will not switch to another tough. So, you may have a bunch of troughs nearby. If they are babies when you log off there is an excellent chance they will starve when you log back on. ![]() Babies WILL NOT transition to adolescent unless and until out of stasis. This means that while the first dino is eating, the second dino is out of stasis and using up its food and health reserves VERY rapidly while waiting for it's turn. ![]() You have to wait another 10 seconds before you can apply a new bola to your target. The Bola roots humans in place for 25 seconds and wild dinos for 30 seconds. It can be thrown and when it hits a target, it wraps around their feet or body and entangles them. Then the third dino will begin eating from the trough. The Bola is a primitive weapon used to immobilize small or medium sized creatures. Then, and only then, will the second dino on the random list begin eating from the trough. It will eat until it's food and health is full. The first dino on the random list will start eating from the trough. Of the dinos that will eat from that trough, the order they eat in is also random.ģ. Dinos select which nearby trough they will eat from at random (range is 9 foundations).Ģ. Think of it as a single "plate of food" that can serve only one dino at a time.ġ. And you need to recognize that a "feeding trough" doesn't function as a trough. Dinos coming out of stasis or on startup all eat in sequence. It probably starved the moment you logged in or approached your base and it came out of stasis. ![]()
